The children's meals are prepared and cooked on site daily by our professionally qualified Nursery Chef. The meals are balanced having all food groups covered. We source our fresh meat products from a local butcher and food is delivered on a weekly basis. A food safety book is filled in daily recording deliveries, food temperatures, and any procedures that need to be followed.
The menus are varied according to a 4 weekly cycle, and adjusted seasonally. They are displayed each week on the notice board in the hall. Dietary requirements are discussed when enrolling your child into the nursery. We are able to cater for any dietary needs.
A typical nursery day consists of the following routine when food and cold beverages are provided:
8-9am Breakfast - this varies from cereal, toasted bread products, croissants, fruit and berries, and yoghurts.
10-10:15am Snack Time - this may consist of carrots, raisins, apples and bread sticks.
11:45am Lunch Time - example meals include chicken korma with basmati rice and naan bread, tuna and pasta bake, beef and potato pie, homemade cheese and tomato pizza.
3pm Tea Time - this may include serving carrot cake, fresh bread, cucumber, black olives and fruits. Water is available in both rooms and the garden throughout the duration of the day.
