The children's meals are prepared and cooked on site daily by our qualified Nursery Chef. The meals are balanced and include all food groups, fresh food is delivered twice a week. A food safety book is filled in daily recording deliveries, food temperatures, and any procedures that need to be followed.
The menus are varied over a 4 weekly cycle and changed seasonally. Dietary requirements are discussed when enrolling your child into the nursery. We can cater for any dietary needs.
All children come together around the tables in the rooms they are based in using this time as a sociable and interactive experience. We encourage children to help themselves to the food and gain independence and make their own choices.
A typical nursery day consists of the following routine when food and milk or water are provided:
This varies from cereal, toasted bread products, croissants, fruit and berries, and yoghurts.
10-10:15am Snack Time
This consists of a selection of Fruit and Vegetable fingers.
11:45am Lunch Time
This is our main meal of the day and consists of a hot meal with vegetables, potatoes, rice or pasta, along with a pudding or a selection of fruit.
This is a smaller meal and can consists of sandwiches, beans on toast, houmous and carrot sticks etc. along with a pudding or a selection of fruit.
5pm Snack Time
This consists of Fruit and Rice Cakes.
Water is available in all rooms and the garden throughout the duration of the day.
